| The
second volume in this series is a split - E.P. by electro-pop
artists Adi Gelbart and Frederik Schickowski: Adi Gelbart, one of the prominent musicians in Israel, has managed to leave an impression of his unique and personal signature-sound, combining musical sophitication with naivity and childlikeness, in the four releases he brought out during the past four years (most of them through the deceased labels Fact and Audio-Collage). He also put out several tracks through the American label Standard Oil Records. The collaboration between Ak-Duck and Gelbart commenced over a year ago, when Gelbart contributed a track to the label's latest compilation, and performed alongside members of Ak-Duck at the album's launch party, as well as in the Dream-Team Festival that took place last year. We
first came across Frederik Schickowski in a
compilation of the British record label Irritant
(which, up until its shut-down, was imported to Israel by Ak-Duck).
After getting to know him deeper, we discovered one of the most
original Pop musicians.
